When I first spoke to The Gallery on Garrison in March this year, I really didn’t know what to expect in terms of the pandemic and how far along we would be with in person (mask free) exhibitions in June. I loved the space and the energy of the owner and decided to work towards a show for June regardless. To my surprise June was perfect timing! Most people had been vaccinated by this time, the mask mandate was eased up in the state of Arkansas, and people were ready to enjoy in person events again!
The Gallery on Garrison in Fort Smith, Arkansas is a wonderful space to show my work, this was also a great space for a solo show. It felt like a great start to the year, coming through the pandemic. I also managed to have some of new Mixed Media paintings ready to show here.
A huge thank you to Melody, the gallery owner, for welcoming me into her gallery and for all her support. Below are some photo’s from the opening reception night, thank you to everyone who attended.
I huge thank you to The Idle Class Magazine, Northwest AR Democrat Gazette and Good Day NWA, they all helped to get the word out about my show through press releases.
This exhibit is on until July 2021, gallery opening days are Tuesday – Saturday. My solo show will come to an end early July. The good news is, for the month of July, I will be showing as part of a group show. My work will be taking up half of the gallery space. So, 2 months to check this show out!! The second reception night is on Saturday July 10, from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the gallery.
