What a fabulous opportunity when Houston, Texas based artist, Amy Malkan reached out to me alongside several other Female South Asian Visual artists to participate in the ‘Don’t Rush Challenge’.

Filming took places, during quarantine COVID-19, in our studio in Texas, Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, Virginia, India, UK and Denmark. We managed to collaborate and represent our work in the 2 minute video shown below.

The camera angle, wardrobe changes and virtually passing and catching the paint brush took some guidance and practice. My husband stood on a chair, above the camera angle and then dropped the paint brush down for me to catch. We had a few re-runs there, lots of silliness and laughter during filming, and we learned lots.

I’m the second to last one in the video, check it out!
